Весь мир празднует день влюблённых в феврале. Парочки дарят друг другу открытки в форме сердечек, шепчут нежные слова, сладко целуются. Такое социальное поведение одобрено обществом и отмечено в календаре красной краской. Но те, чьё сознание свободно от стереотипов, обмениваются валентинками в любое время года.
Неординарный во всех смыслах музыкант, продюсер, фотограф и парикмахер Acey Slade тоже не сторонник проверенных схем. Его любовно-музыкальное признание поклонники получили в ноябре. Новый альбом так и называется Valentines for Sick Minds (Валентинки для душевно-больных).
На диджипаке, который больше напоминает конверт двойного винилового альбома, изображён Эйси с собственной персоной и некая азиатского вида то ли нимфа то ли муза, парящая над старыми телевизорами. Откуда он взял в Бруклине такое количество ящиков с кинескопами история умалчивает, да это и не важно. Главное, что в самом пакете. А вещь там действительно нужная. Особенно она пригодиться тем, кто по пути из пункта рок в пункт ролл, зачем-то свернул в панк и не заметил, как оказался в полном глэме. В такое путешествие идти страшновато, но когда гидом вызвался Слейд, можно следовать без опаски. Он прошёл этот маршрут через старые кладбища хорорпанка, сквозь мишуру и блёстки глэма, по волнам рок энд ролла, пока не добрался до конечной точки назначения, в которой сел отдохнуть и собрал все артефакты. Поделка вышла безумная, но весьма талантливая.
На альбоме всего 10 треков. Только разгоняешься, и пора снова нажимать «play». Напоминает игру «А ну ка отними». Предлагают конфетку, но тут же прячут сладкое. Однако стоит помнить, что главное не количество, а качество. С этим тут как раз полный прядок. Не мудрено! Музыкант попробовал себя во многих стилях, и не перестаёт учиться. Освоил метал, панк, в совершенстве владеет рок энд роллом/ кого попало не приглашают играть в Blackhearts/.
Для затравки в сети появилось промо-видео на песню «One fist in the Gold one foot in the Grave». Стоит ли считать эту композицию заглавной песней альбома? Не знаю. Знаю точно, что релиз настолько многослойный, что каждый, независимо от аудиальных предпочтений, может выбрать одну любимую из десяти.
Представьте, что в громадный музыкальный блендер до краёв налили Майкла Монро, приправили Элисом Купером, посыпали немного Aerosmith, в равных долях добавили Ramones и Sex Pistols, хорошенько перемешали, разлили по бокалам и украсили тонким ломтиком Clash. Акробатический кульбит воображения лучше продегустировать лично, чтобы почувствовать терпкие нотки настоящей музыки.
Стилем называют главную черту, отличительную особенность, узнаваемую деталь. В современном мире каждый день тысячами рождаются и умирают песни разной степени ценности. Один хит погиб под колёсами шоу-бизнеса, другой вышел из дверей студии. Теперь музыкантам всё сложнее создавать что-то новое, ведь нот всего семь, а цепких аккордов вообще только три. В такое непростое время пришлось творить Эйси Слейду, и ему, бесспорно, удался запоминающийся и стильный продукт. Не верьте мне на слово, проверьте сами, но приступайте к прослушиванию ответственно эта музыка вызывает сильное привыкание!

Acey Slade — «Valentines for Sick Minds» / review

The whole world celebrates the Saint Valentine’s Day in February. Couples present post cards in the form of little hearts to each other, whisper tender words to each other, kiss each other sweetly. This social behavior is approved by the society and marked in the calendar with the red colour. But those people, whose minds are free from stereotypes, change Valentines with each other in any time of year.
In all senses the disruptive musician, producer, photographer and hairdresser Acey Slade is not the follower of attested aspects as well. His fans received his loving and musical recognition in November. For this reason his brand new music album is called «Valentines for Sick Minds».
At the Digipack which looks more like the cover of the double vinyl music album, Acey is represented in his person together with the Asian woman, who is whether any nymph or any muse, floating above old TV sets. Where he found so many CRT TV tube in Brooklyn, the history is dumb on it, but it is not so important at all. Nothing matters more than something in this package. Only the thing inside is really important. It will be useful for those music lovers, who are on the way from the point of departure «rock» to the point of destination «roll», who turned in «punk» for some purpose or other and did not notice how they reached «glam» completely. It is a bit dangerous to take to the road alone, but when your guide is Slade, you can follow him without any misgivings. He went this way through burying grounds of «horror punk» shining with the brilliant yarn and the glitter of «glam», was up waves of «rock-n-roll», until he could reach the last point of destination, where he was able to sit to have a rest, and collect all artifacts. His craft ensued crazy, but very talented.
This music album includes only 10 tracks. As recently as you eager to listen to it, it’s time to push the bottom «play». It reminds me on the game «Take it away now then». Game leaders offer you a candy, but hide all sweets at once. But you shall remember that not the quantity of songs, but the quality of them is more important. A clean state is registered exactly to it. It’s no wonder! The musician expressed his own opinions in many music styles and did not give over learning. He mastered «metal», «punk» and has «rock-n-roll» at his finger tips, because any Tom, Dick or Harry could not be invited to make music with «Blackhearts».
For the incentive the promotional video clip to the song «One fist in the Gold one foot in the Grave» was published in Internet. Shall we consider this song to be the top hit of this music album? I don’t know. I only know for sure that this release is many-sided, so each person can choose the most favorite songs of these ten tracks independent on own music preferences.
Just imagine that Michael Monroe was filled up to the big music blender, then dressed with Alice Cooper, dredged with «Aerosmith» a bit, mixed with «Ramones» and «Sex Pistols» in equal shares, stirred well, poured out to glasses and decorated with a thin slice of «Clash». You should carry out a tasting of your nice flight of imagination on your own to enjoy the astringent flavour of the real music.
The style is formed by outstanding features, differential characteristics and recognized details. Each day thousand of songs of various values are «born» and «died» in the modern world. As soon as one music hit will be crashed beneath wheels of the show-business, the other one will leave the music studio. At present it is much harder for musicians to create something new, because they have only seven notes and only three catchy accords. At such not easy time Acey Slade had to create his own songs as well, but it’s not deniable that he could produce the memorable and stylish product. If you cannot take it on trust, you may verify it on your own, but begin to listen to this album responsible, because his music builds up a strong addiction!
